Offset Printing

Offset printing is produced by firstly creating a plate. This plate is then loaded onto a Lithographic Press. The ink from the plate is transferred to what is called a 'blanket' and then from the blanket onto the paper with the combination of water. That is why it is called 'offset'. Basically, water and oil (the ink) do not mix and is the basis of all offset printing.

The digital or 'on-demand' printing process is fairly simple. Firstly your artwork is created on a computer (either by yourself  or by one of our designers) and then sent to the digital press (much like a very expensive copier but with far superior quality).
